Darling I Need You Now
Written By: L. Cooke (but more likely Sam Cooke)
Information: There are two different versions of this song. The one on Right On has background vocals and full musical arrangements. I'm still not sure how official this album is, it's sounds a little too much and I doubt if Sam himself wanted it to sound this way. The version on In The Beginning is amazing. Just a guitar and a little drums and bass, it does sounds as if this was also added later. On the CD it's mentioned as "I Need You Now"

Lyrics
darling I need you now
there is a moon up so bright
it's a warm night and I am lonely
I need you now
darling I need you now
there's a soft wind
slowly creeping in and upsetting me
I need you now
lovers are walking hand in hand in the street
there in parked cars and in doorways they meet
there in the park, on the grass, on the seats
and here I am left here I'm all alone
darling I need you now
cut your vacation short
and come on back home
you better send for me
you better send for me
cause I need you now
lovers are walking hand in hand in the street
there in parked cars and in doorways they meet
there in the park, on the grass, on the seats
and here I am left here I'm all alone
darling I need you now
cut your vacation short
and come on back home
you better send for me
you better send for me
cause I need you now
