Reviews
- A moody introspective side that
prowls around displaying an ambivalent mixture of emotions that fluctuate
between tenderness and anger. What is intriguing in the lyrics is just why
is he telling all this to the girl he's on the verge of splitting with? What
point is being served? I'm not at all convinced he really does believe all
that he's saying. This element of ambiguity is an occasional characteristics
in soul music, and the whole mood of this side hints at confusion and
uncertainty. Great stuff, just like real life! (fby Dave Godin in the
Complete Goldwax liner notes)
