Reviews
- A good example of the blend of
various styles that I mentioned earlier, but on 'I'm A Fool For You' James
Carr delivers with vigour and vim, and a remarkable lady from New Orleans,
none other than Betty Harris, adds spice and excitement on what in reality
is a love duet. Like many other famous soul duets, (Don Gardner and Dee
Ford's 'I Need Your Loving' comes to mind), the tension between the two
isn't resolved, with the result that once the end fade is over, you feel
you've got to play it just one more time. Co-composers, the ever-loved
George Jackson, and Dan Greer, both also made recordings as vocalists.
